Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, seafood abounds in Hawaii restaurants, but there are only a handful of specialists. New to the list is Fish Honolulu. The open-air restaurant in the heart of Kakaako features a full range of fish and shellfish including Kona crab artichoke dip, crab cakes, lobster rolls and some of my favorites such as crispy oysters with shallot mignonette and day boat fish and rice, a stir-fry including eggplant, snap peas and hints of Thai influence with the addition of mint, Thai basil, peanuts, cilantro and chili sauce. On warm tropical days, I like to cool off with a cocktail of Pineapple Tai or Lush Lychee. Oenophiles will find a short list of wine ranging from Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica Reisling to Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon and Dupeuble Beaujolais .
